NETHIPS is a key stakeholder and an umbrella organization for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Sierra Leone.
Founded in 2006, its strategic role is to coordinate, advocate and build the capacity of its members who are mainly people living with and affected by AIDS in Sierra Leone.
NETHIPS works to mitigate the impact of HIV on people infected and those affected. Its vision is a Sierra Leone where people living with HIV (PLHIV) and their dependents enjoy equal rights and opportunities and live productive, dignified and meaningful lives. The overall goal of NETHIPS is to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV and to reduce the impact of HIV on the lives of those infected and affected by HIV in Sierra Leone.
In order to achieve its vision and goal, the organization works to improve access to and utilization of antiretroviral therapy, give human face and voice to HIV and AIDS by ensuring meaningful representation and involvement of PLHIVs in relevant fora locally and internationally, facilitate the improvement of HIV related policies, laws and practices that uphold human rights and welfare of the PLHIV community in Sierra Leone.

Our Objectives
To advocate for access to health and rights of PLHIV through the improvement of HIV-related policies, laws and practices that upholdHuman Rights
To advocate for improvedaccess to to and utilization of an anti-retroviral drugs(ARV) including opportunitistic infections drugs for all eligible PLHIVS and support adherence and retention on treatment
To build and strengthen the capacity of the network and that of its member constituencies (support groups) with adequate knowledge and skills to effectively deal with the HIV & AIDS pandemic.
To give a "human face" and "voice" to the HIV & AIDS pandemic in Sierra Leone by ensuring meaningful representation and involvement of PLHIVs in relevant forums locally and internationally in line with UNAIDS GIPA and MIPA principles
To collaborate and strengthen cooperation with the Goverment of Ierra Leone and others relevant stakeholders including the UN systems in the prevention and control of HIV and AIDS as well as care and support for PLHIV
To advocate for access to health and rights of PLHIV through the improvement of HIV-related policies, laws and practices that upholdHuman Rights
To engage in empowerment and enterprise development activities that will improve the quality of lives of PLHIV and their dependents
